What is a transitive verb?
A Transitive  Verb requires an object to complete its meaning. The vast majority of verbs are transitive.
Examples : --
a. The hunter killed a bear.In ( a ) " bear " is the object of " killed ".
b. The scholar learned his lesson.
In ( b ) " lesson " is the object of " learned ".
